Branding - The Enchanted Bead

The Enchanted Bead is a bead store that carries beads, handmade jewelry, fixings, and local art. Previously there was no identity, and I wanted to create something that could easily be used on road signage, front windows, and packaging. The store has a whimsical atmosphere, and I was leaning into hippie-fairy-nature-forest vibes for creating the logo.

My initial sketches were done in the store colors, I did this to get a sense of what it could potentially look like on colored packaging or on the walls of the store. I wanted the identity to work in one color though, and so I changed the layout. My biggest obstacle was finding the correct font. I wanted something highly legible and easy to read at both large and small scale, but something that had a whimsical feeling.
