"Sims-Like" Preloader

This was a simple preloader animation I created in After Effects. I based this preloader on the loading screen from "The Sims" video game franchise, which features a spinning green crystal with a funny message underneath. The crystal animation was created using five diamond shapes of different colours, and spinning them on the Y-axis at differing speeds. This created a faux-3D effect, that fooled many into believing it to be a 3D model, instead of simple 2D shapes.
