Household Manager

Overview

Our team designed a Household Manager Dashboard mobile and tablet app for a startup that creates assistive technology to simplify household management. The app's goal is to centralize the user's contacts, meals, goals, events, and lists, assisted by an AI manager named Pixi. We seek feedback on our app to improve future designs.

Design Process

We started with research to understand user needs and challenges when managing their homes. We conducted surveys, interviews, and usability tests to gather insights.

Based on our research, we created user personas to guide the design process. We then developed wireframes and low-fidelity prototypes to test our concepts with users. We used their feedback to refine our designs and build high-fidelity prototypes.

Features

The Household Manager Dashboard app includes the following features:

Contacts: A centralized list of contacts, including family, friends, and service providers.

Meals: A meal planner that allows users to plan meals for the week, view recipes, and generate shopping lists.

Goals: A goal tracker that helps users set and achieve household goals, such as saving energy, reducing waste, or organizing a closet.

Events: A calendar that displays household events, such as birthdays, anniversaries, and appointments.

Lists: A to-do list that allows users to create and manage household tasks.

Pixi: An AI manager that assists users in interacting with the app, providing helpful tips and reminders.

Design Elements

We aimed for a clean and user-friendly interface. We used a simple colour scheme and typography to ensure clarity and readability. We also included intuitive navigation and clear labelling of buttons and icons to enhance user experience.
