GQ Magazine Cover Parody

GQ Magazine Cover Parody

After designing the spreads for a GQ magazine article, Destroying Detroit, I thought it would make sense to create a cover for the pages to sit in. The article was originally published for GQ Magazine in 2011, which gave me the fun idea to design a parody magazine cover. Since GQ stands for Gentlemen’s Quarterly, their magazine covers mainly feature male celebrities and other famous figures. For my parody design, the man I wanted to depict on the front cover was Ronald McDonald, the face of the fast food franchise McDonald’s. This led to many fun jokes and easter eggs within the design.
