THE PROJECT

Alexander Davis is a Boston area electrician who was recently licensed. Alexander wanted his business to stand out right away, getting off on exactly the right foot with clients young and old.

We opted for electric-bright colors and a distinctive mix of logotype and graphic. The logo was made entirely from scratch and blends 3D and 2D elements into something distinct and eye-catching. The lightning bolt helps convey the purpose of the company while the "A" conveys strength and creativity.

We ended up going with a horizontal orientation, with the left-aligned text wrapping the angle of the letter. The lighting background is both exciting and informative, conveying once again that this is an electrical business without ever reading the text.

The back of the business card repeats the lightning bolt from the logo which is also fitted around the varying lengths of the lines of text.
