Kuruma Hobari Cake Kirby

A cake for an anniversary

As a one-month anniversary project using Blender, I created a 3D model of Kirby as a car for Café Petit. Kirby, originally a pink ball of fluff from the game "Kirby and the Forgotten Land," is reimagined as a cake with his body as the pink icing dripping on a vintage Fiat 500. This car was a popular vehicle in Italy during the 60s and 70s and is well-known for its compact size and unique design.

I would like to add that my partner played an important role in inspiring me to create this project. He sent me a picture of a real cake (check the second slide), which sparked the idea to make a 3D model of it. I didn't check for other pictures or ask where the cake came from, which is why some parts, like the feet, are missing in my model.

Topology on its way

The project required a lot of attention to detail, as I wanted to create a model that was both accurate to the cake design and true to Kirby's playful and cute personality. I spent a lot of time figuring out the topology in Blender, ensuring that the model was created in a way that allowed for easy editing and animation. Using techniques I learned from Blender Guru, I tried to pursue a detailed and realistic 3D model on my own.

One of the standout features of the project is the glittery pink engraved plate made of jelly candy, which adds a touch of sassy personality to the overall design.

To conclude...

This project allowed me to showcase my ability to learn new techniques quickly and adapt to new challenges, and I believe it demonstrates my potential as a 3D designer and modeler.

Overall, this project was a fun and exciting challenge, and I am happy with the result. The Kuruma Hobari Cake Kirby model is a testament to my passion for creativity.
