MEDTrack - a mobile app designed to manage medical records

Overview:

With MedTrack, you can keep all of your medical records organized and easily accessible, ensuring that you never forget important information or appointments.

By providing a user-friendly interface and convenient features such as reminders for medications and appointments, MedTrack helps you stay on top of your health routine with ease. Whether you need to track your prescription medications, monitor your test results, or keep a record of your dietary habits, MedTrack has you covered.

There’s more, MedTrack also allows you to keep track of your dietary habits by logging in food details daily. This feature can be especially useful for individuals looking to monitor their food intake or manage certain health conditions.

My Role:

As the designer of this application, my primary responsibility is to create the visual and interactive elements of the app. After multiple reiterations of sketches and wireframes, I laid out a comprehensive design system in Figma that included all the details on color, typography, layout, and interactive elements. Then, I assembled the components of the design system to create this intuitive, user-friendly application.

Problem:

  • Managing medical records can be a hassle, especially when you have to carry around physical copies of prescriptions, test results, and other records

  • Keeping track of medical appointments can also be a challenge and one can simply forget to take their medication on time

  • For individuals with unknown allergies, maintaining a food diary is crucial for identifying patterns and triggers

Goal:

  • MedTrack offers a host of benefits to help you take control of your health:

  • Centralized storage of medical records: With MedTrack, you can easily store all your medical records in one place, making them accessible from anywhere at any time

  • Reminders for medications and appointments: Never miss an appointment again with MedTrack's reminder system

  • Integrated food diary: Keep track of your food intake and identify patterns and triggers with MedTrack's built-in food diary feature. No need for a separate app - it's all included in one convenient platform

With MedTrack, you have everything you need to stay on top of your health and make informed decisions about your well-being.

Style Guide:

The font “Raleway” is a popular choice for user-friendly UI design because of its clarity, hierarchy, versatility, and modern style. Raleway has a range of weights that make it easy to create a clear hierarchy of information. This font can help to create a visually appealing and easy-to-use interface that enhances the user experience.

“Dusty rose”, I chose a medium shade of beige with a hint of peach as my primary color. This color creates a warm, soothing environment which when paired with a cooler color like dusty olive can bring a sense of reliability too.

Sketching:

As part of the design process, I created several sketches to explore different concepts and layouts for the app. These sketches were used to generate ideas for the final design and ensure that all necessary features were included in the app.

Final designs:

The final designs for MedTrack feature a clean, modern aesthetic with a warm and soothing color palette.

The home screen of the app displays a summary of the user's upcoming appointments and reminders, as well as a button to log their food intake for the day. The app also includes a detailed view of the user's medical history and a section for managing their prescriptions. Overall, the design is intuitive and user-friendly, making it easy to manage all aspects of one's health in one convenient location.
