Design Challenge Experience

I've been procrastinating for a while and felt overwhelmed by the challenge. After a week of vacation this Easter, I finally had the courage to face it bit by bit.

I learned how to chunk it down into smaller achievable bits and use available resources such as AI in completing the challenge.

Overall, the challenge was simple and not as complicated as creating a UI for a car or a TV application

The Design

I designed both web and mobile versions of favorites for the tikim-takam recipe app.

I made this app design previously on Daily UI Challenge Day 40. I used panlasangpinoy.com as a reference for the app. I am still working on how I'd be able to make it better without copying the website itself.

For me, the website is already perfect, but I want to challenge myself by not copying it completely but tweaking it according to its usability.

I noticed that I made some errors, which is the purpose of Pinned and Favorites. I think that the Pinned section lost its purpose since it is grouped with Favorites and Featured.

I would probably design it on top as pinned and then put Featured before the Favorites.

I want to improve the navigation in the mobile version as well. Maybe put the page where the Pinned and Featured Sections are as well.
