The Send to Device feature in komoot is a perfectly balanced way to send (and receive) a planned route on one of your external devices in a very simple, intuitive way.

But the design process wasn't so simple. It all started with user research and developing user flows. We found out what the usage patterns were and developed special ways of communicating with the user. Then prototyping, user testing, developing, and testing again and again until it's perfect. The feature is now live on komoot and available to many users with external devices. It's simple and functional. As little design as possible.
