Valient | Logo + Visual Identity Design
The Brand
Valient is a social platform that envisions new ways to professionally connect people, brands, and clients. It is designed to allow individuals, clients, and companies to provide services, evaluate themselves, and assist users in selecting skills to develop while simultaneously building their reputation.
The founder of Valient carefully chose the keywords "Trust," "Insight," "Outward Recognition," "Inside Reflection," and "Authenticity" to request me a design that could embody as many of these concepts as possible.
The Valient Vortex
The representation of a vortex was chosen as an icon because it can be viewed in two ways: as an attractor or an expeller. The attraction aspect represents the concept of inward reflection and the process of absorbing information and transforming oneself with it. The expelling part suggests outward recognition and giving information or things to others. This duality connects to the keywords INSIGHT and RECOGNITION.
Regarding TRUST, as highlighted above, the duality of the vortex allows for the concept to be viewed as a two-way street, therefore, connecting with the keyword. Trust is most valuable in relationships when both parties are able to trust each other.
A new idea presents itself here: CHAOS. Chaos can be thought of as a location or scenario that is outside of our familiar surroundings - or comfort zone. It's a place where opportunities for growth and evolution are more commonly found.
