Clash of the Candidates

This was the second year I was asked to design the cover art for the front cover of the Red River College newspaper "The Projector" Election Special Edition. To maintain consistency the "Robot" theme was applied to the design. The tagline accompanying the custom cover art was "Clash of the Candidates, Special Rock'em Sock'em Election Edition."

The main objective was to create a design that communicated the competitive spirit of the upcoming election in hope of further engaging the potential voter. This design is a follow up piece to the nominations campaign I created for the RRCSA, which also played off the idea of vintage robots. One-by-one, this issue flew off the stands faster then they could be replaced, deeming the design a succes.
