A few years back a friend of mine gave me a tip for working on posters/logos. She basically said "design in grayscale first, because if you can't communicate in black and white then it's not going to be any good in colour." To this day I have still found that to incredibly valuable (and useful) advice.

That advice was one of the catalysts for this project.
