Happy Father's Day
To all the dads out there: Happy Father's Day! I'd imagine that Dribbble is comprised of dads and designers, so as a son, I decided to upload this.
Of course, I customized these posters for my own dad - although not as visible, the logo's tie is superimposed against a snippet of Java:
class Dad {
public void main(String[] args) {
boolean yourDay=true;
boolean awesome=true;
}
}
Here is the letter on the first poster:
"I haven't made something for Father's Day since elementary school. There's been a lot to be thankful for and not enough thanking, but that can change. It will change. It feels great to make my dad proud and even better to have a dad I can boast about. As if the logo and this poster don't say it enough: Happy Father's Day!"
The second poster with a white backdrop contains 8 nifty English tips. My dad isn't a native speaker and has fluent, albeit slightly flawed, English. "Flawed", but with mistakes that any native English-speaker would make. If you're curious what those tips are, you can check out the poster project on my Behance.
Note: The tie is actually from this shot by Matt Scribner (@scribner), an icon-afficianado and expert. Give him a follow and a like, if you can. According to this latest shot, "Sheesh... I love making icons".
To any dad who wants some recognition, you can consider this a gift to you too. ;)
