apollo 50 - logo

A 3 day Celebration of 50 years after man stepped on the moon, the National Air and Space Museum projected the Apollo 11 launch onto the the Washington Monument. We were tasked with the branding, and art direction for collateral, for the festival.

The icon was inspired by a flame, representing a beacon for future exploration, and an eagles wing serving two purposes. The first for the “Eagle” lunar module that landed on the moon, and the second the symbol of America. “Columbia”, the command module, was chosen as the highlighted craft as it kept our astronauts safe to and from the moon.

A gold and “deep space” color palette was chosen to celebrate and inspire, pushing us to look up once again.
