IMA - Inventory Management Assistant

A SIMPLE AND EFFICIENT INVENTORY MANAGEMENT APPLICATION THAT USES A MOBILE PHONE CAMERA FOR DATA INPUT.

No one enjoys performing inventory, especially with a pen and paper. This multi-step process can take 4 out of 5 workdays to complete and absorbs approximately 33 out of 40 working hours in a single week.

Research for IMA

As the app would evolve, screens went through several changes.

Generally, the user logs in and decides to scan a shelf tag. The information can be verified or edited, then saved to a list. The list can then be uploaded to the shop mainframe.

Inventory logging flow

For high fidelity design, proprietary colors were used in alignment with the company's brand. The simplicity of the app meant the design system would not be complex.

Insights from user testing revealed that participants liked the simplicity of the app and its straightforward features.
