About Winamp
Winamp is a media player for Windows that was popular in the late 1990s and early 2000s. It was known for its customizable interface and wide support for audio and video formats. Winamp was developed by Nullsoft, a subsidiary of AOL, and was initially released in 1997. It was a major competitor to other media players like Windows Media Player and QuickTime. Despite its popularity, Winamp has not been updated since 2013 and is no longer actively developed.
