“Did we get it all right the first time?” This was the top-of-mind question for our design team on the precipice of the @MicrosoftTeams app redesign (now available in public preview). The question reflected the dance that design often is, one between responsive and proactive decisions. Responsively, we want to understand and address customer feedback and needs; proactively, we want to explore new territory and dream up future visions. To execute this vision, the team rethought foundational UX elements of the Teams experience and explored how to fully adopt #FluentDesignSystem.
