Fonts.Com Hero - the story behind

Hey there everyone,

as you might already know I had to honor to do a typographic piece for Fonts.com hero images. I already shared the hero image, some days ago - which is now live btw. on www.fonts.com.

But I also wanted to share the story behind this shot, so I've put together a little blog post (currently only available in German) - and published it on my (still under construction) website: www.axelherrmann.com

Along with the story I also shared a stylistic alternative of the hero piece (basically a stylistic alternative of the illustration)- which I now want to show you as well. I opted for the original version over this one because of the all over better look and feel of the piece as a whole. The line illustration just workes better with the Berling Sans Nova font.

If you want to take a closer look at the font here's the place to go.

And - if you want to dig deeper into the awesome hero images, here's the hero image archive. Seeing all the work of so many great designers in one place hopefully get's you an idea why I feel honored to dwell among them.

Thank you very much for your time and attention, have a great day and weekend.
