New Lock Screen Prototype

I decided to rethink how mobile lock screens could look and function. Some criteria I focused on include - boring digital clock, lack of customization, analogue battery design, and security.

The ability to add a custom clock face to the lock screen would be amazing, and could open up an entire new market place for designers. Additionally, Users should be able to add extra information in corners such as weather, calendar or reminders. This is one feature I love about the Apple Watch. In order to create a more digital experience a circle that displays how much battery is left will replace the traditional battery shape. On the topic of security, if users never clean their phone screen eventually the passcode can be guessed by the concentration of "presses" in one area of the screen. Also people looking at the passcode being entered can use the position to guess the passcode. Both are possible security flaws. Therefore, the keypad for the passcode dynamically shuffles to ensure that numbers appear in different places each time.
