New font release: Discotack
My new font, Discotack, is out now via Blaze Type! I've been chipping away at this typeface for over a year and I couldn't be happier to be releasing it with Blaze Type.
Discotack is a reverse contrast slab serif with organic, flowing strokes and a load of personality. Initially inspired by the uppercase forms of Benguiat’s Discotheque (1967), the font takes an off-kilter approach to a genre typically marked by straight lines and angles. Set it in all caps for a (mostly) flat top and bottom to your lines of text, or add in the lowercase to introduce a playful wavy texture to your type. Discotack is best used large and playfully, and is perfect for headlines and logos.
The full character set complies with Latin Plus, supporting over 400 Latin alphabet based languages. There are a buncha symbols, case sensitive punctuation, and some funky arrows too!
