AIDI - Re Branding for a construction project management webapp
Where innovation and AI meets the construction industry
Aidi is on a mission to revolutionize the Excel spreadsheet dominated world of construction project management.
They knew that a comprehensive brand refresh would be the right next step in their journey, helping them to grow their products, move into new markets and attract clients.
We helped them by updating their logo, creating a new color palette, carefully choosing a typography system and delivering a visual concept and graphic language they could call their own: North Modern.
A brand built with strong foundations
Like the construction of a building, a successful brand is built on a strong foundation of key components: typography, color and an effective logo. We carefully crafted a design system that would make it very easy for Aidi to apply their brand, using it to grow their market presence and product offering.
Through specifically crafted workshops conducted with their team, we got to the heart of Aidi’s identity. We understood their brand values: Impactful, innovative, trustworthy and approachable. We then crafted a visual system that reflects Aidi's values while remaining flexible, scalable and, of course, beautiful. This allows them to connect with their target audience across all their touch points: from marketing materials and social media, to complex user journeys and interfaces.
The brand concept: North Modern
North Modern is the concept that drives the visual direction of Aidi’s brand.
We were Inspired by the rugged beauty of the natural materials often associated with Canada, where the Aidi team call home. The simple, rugged beauty of stone and wood. Architecture with natural materials. A thoughtful, understated but confident approach. Ideas from forward looking people. People who come together to construct their next great project.
Structure and shape interplay with images of construction, materials and the people behind the projects. This forms a graphic language that is impactful, while feeling simple. It has a distinct personality, but is approachable. It’s at home in the tech space but always feels human, reflecting its trustworthiness. It’s visually structured but isn’t afraid innovate and think outside the box. Just like Aidi themselves.
