Conscious Consumerism

“Create between 1-4 posters including illustrative work that challenges viewers and encourages a change in attitude and behaviour. Take one topic and raise awareness about a specific issue relating to environmental problems and humans involved.”

The chosen topic was ‘ensuring sustainable consumption and production patterns’, and for this I chose to create my poster series around fast fashion. I wanted to play on the idea of how easy it is as a consumer to get lost in the marketing of these fast fashion giants, without seeing the real exploitation within the industry. I chose collage for my main medium in these pieces, as I wanted to create them using recycled materials such as old newspaper and unused art scraps.
