waves

This is the intro animation for my showreel. The goal was to find a nice looking imagery which represents certain personal aspects of my work as motion designer. I came up with the idea of a smoothly animated 3d ocean where the natural movement of the waves is being artificially manipulated according to the music of the reel. I gave the ocean an abstract digital look to visualize my production workflow and output. Finally I added some simple 2d shapes as particles to the scene because I like simple 2d shapes and also because this is basically almost the best I can do when it comes to illustration ;)

The animation was produced entirely in After Effects and uses the cool Trapcode plugins Particular, Shine, Lux and Mir.

Next to adding newly produced work to my dribbble portfolio I will continue to add some of the shots from the reel as well as some more old stuff. I am looking forward to your feedback. Thank you very much guys!
