World Surf League Redesign

Here is a little *just for fun* project. This design was made simply to explore some web design features such as a unique slider gallery and a live twitter feed. I'd love to hear any feedback on ways to create a "surf feel" in a design while still maintaining functionality.

Sometimes it's fun as designers to push things super far visually and really create things that no one has ever seen before but if it doesn't produce good results then it's pretty pointless. A beautifully painted hammer serves no purpose if it just sits on a shelf. My hope is to create a design that looks cool, while performing amazingly.

Goals:
• Create a landing page for strong visual content
• Capture the feel of surfing
• Engage users so that they feel like there is action and movement on the site and not just a static page.
