Flat Filters (Graphic Novel)
Flat Filters is the debut short graphic novel by myself and director Chino Moya. It's telling the story of a thirty-something year old who wakes up one morning, looks through the window of his apartment and discovers that the world has gone. The building where he lives is now surrounded by an endless extension of a flat yellow floor and a monotone and sunless sky. As he runs out of food and water he decides to venture out on an existential mission in which the memories of his past life and the uncertainty of his current situation play an equal part.
“Moya’s hauntingly weird premise and Brosh’s immersive page layouts combine to create a truly sensory experience in the pages of Flat Filters; a deeply effective combination of eerie narration and visual isolation” — Broken Frontier
