Garage Gym Reviews
Deadbolt has been a mainstay in the fitness industry for the past four-plus years. One doesn’t participate in the lifting and fitness community without having some knowledge of who Garage Gym Reviews is. So many (almost 900 MILLION followers across all social platforms!!!) are familiar with founder Cooper Mitchell and what he’s done for the industry from a content perspective. Coop reached out to us at the end of 2020 to refresh the GGR brand to be more responsive and modern.
Our focus quickly went to the existing branding and finding a way to extend their recognized visuals in a more ownable and unique way. The barbell is used by nearly everyone in the space, in some form or fashion, and we felt holding on to that idea but making it wholly GGR was essential. Evolution, not revolution.
During our initial sketching and ideation we quickly came to an early version of the GGR dumbbell.
The two G’s as abstract weight plates being connected by the bar was a great visual metaphor for connection between the brand and its audience and also how commonplace garage gyms have become (especially post pandemic). We set in to refine the overall visual of the brand, choosing to retain the red from the original identity and pairing it with a soft black and off-white; this was to drive vibrancy and keep it grounded within the lifting/fitness space.
