Karuta furoshiki

Do you know the famous idiom "It's raining cats and dogs" ? Well, Japan has its very own funny and unique idioms. Like "Unable to see the forest behind the trees" implies one is too entangled in a situation to understand what is transpiring from a larger context.

For Karut a, a traditional Japanese card game, I gave my personal interpretation of Japanese idioms. The game is simple, a "reader" tells out loud a Japanese idiom while the contestants try to find the corresponding "idiom card" as fast as possible. 

This game is made from an original hiragana typography, a set of original illustrations, and is wrapped in a colorful furoshiki. Furoshiki is Japanese piece of clothe that is used to wrap item in a sustainable way.
