The Dog Tales

The Dog Tales is an original project by photographer Frankie Lodge, based on her love of dogs. Over the last ten years of working in the photography industry, she has photographed every dog she’s come into contact with, including a pit bull in Barcelona, a fluffy Lab in Miami, and a dalmatian puppy in Athens.

The Dog Tales didn’t have a website when they came to us. Until then, they had kept all their images documented only on social media, but they knew to grow their project and attracts visitors and supporters, they would need a portfolio website. They also wanted to offer private photo shoot commissions, as well as sell prints of their work online, so they needed a website with the functionality of doing so. They commissioned us to build them a portfolio website that showed off their gorgeous photography, whilst allowing them to make money from their art and establish themselves with online credibility.

We designed and built a portfolio website for The Dog Tales, showcasing their beautiful photographs and services available. We uploaded dozens of available prints, with the ability to choose sizes and frames, and even gift vouchers. We created a commissions area of the website, with information about available packages, and the ability to book in for a session. When someone has travelled the world to make art, you want to show that off, so we created a “Where have we been?” Page complete with interactive map, listing all the countries and cities that The Dog Tales has visited.

The website is first and foremost built for mobile use, as we know much of their traffic comes from Instagram and other social media platforms. The site needs to work flawlessly across all platforms to ensure complete accessibility and a great user experience, no matter the device used. We included a news area of the site for visitors to keep abreast of updates and exhibitions, as well as links to published press about The Dog Tales. This was a really fun project for us to work on, we’re big dog lovers so looking at beautiful photographs of them all day was a dream.
