Vexillology

I just watched Roman Mars' TED talk about flags and really enjoyed it. Using the five basic principles of flag design, I decided to rework the current City of Sunnyvale flag, as a personal exercise. I reduced the city's seal to its basic elements. I have no delusions of grandeur. I know the city doesn't care and won't use this. Anyway, check out Roman's talk here → https://youtu.be/pnv5iKB2hl4

1. Keep it simple.
2. Use meaningful symbolism.
3. Use 2–3 basic colors.
4. No lettering or seals.
5. Be distinctive or be related.
