For my old graphic design class, we had an assignment to create 5 pictograms based on Olympic sports. I decided to kill two birds with one stone and also make the pictogram a set of mascots. The name of the Olympics mascot on top is Mír ("Peace" in Czech), and the name of the Paralympics mascot below is Milo (short for Milovat, "Love" in Czech). The style of the designs themselves are loosely based on mid 20th century Czechoslovakian matchbox labels.
