240 Pop Shop - Gourmet Confections
240 Pop Shop is located at the Portland Oregon Saturday Market. They sell gooey popcorn balls covered in various toppings. The client's dream was to own a popcorn shop. The name is rooted from 240 degrees which is the melting point of sugar.
During the 1930s popcorn became the snack of the Great Depression. It was first introduced in movie theaters and and typefaces on packaging ranged from serif to sans serifs. I wanted to give this brand a vintage look so I used Bodoni as the main typeface. I love the thick to thin strokes in the numbers.
