Little Floofs Sanctuary

UX Designer, Researcher

Goal

The goal was to design a pet registration flow for an animal shelter. There was no website for the Little Floofs Sanctuary. To make registration and adaptation easier for people, a website with the option to register and adopt online was to be made.

Key Challenges/Constraints

Many pet lovers wanted to see Little Floofs Sanctuary have a website so that it would be easier for them to contact the animal shelter to save stray pets and adopt new ones that they like. The major challenge in designing the website was the navigation. As there were several screens added to this, the navigation was more complicated than usual.

Wireframes

I wanted to make sure that my design would be accessible for all users, so I considered accessibility guidelines such as WCAG 2.0 AA conformance and made sure it was responsive on different devices. I leveraged existing libraries of accessible components, such as WAI-ARIA and WCAG 2.1, to ensure my design was accessible to everyone.

At the end of this course, I had a greater understanding of user experience processes and principles, which will help me create better web designs in the future.
