Chromatic Logo
The Story
I saw a beautiful chromatic shape somewhere recently and wanted to recreate the effect for my self so I started experimenting with metallic materials and different colorful lighting setups to create the reflective effect and after a few tries I was able to achieve it. The trick was to first choose the right colors and then place the lighting source correctly!
The Shape
I chose our own studio's logo as the model and turned it's SVG file into a 3D object inside blender. In order to really get the cool chromatic effect I made the edges very smooth and beveled, when the material and the lightings were added to it, the result turned out amazing.
The Animations
Played around with the shape it self and came around with 2 other versions using the elements of the main logo, then decided to animate each one.
the 2 versions you saw on the top were just a simple Z axis rotation but this one here is a bit more complex where I animated the light source around the shape in a particular way in order to create this cool flow effect.
The Color Variants
Once I had the hang of it I started experimenting with different light placements & color combinations, these are some of the renders I exported while doing that.
