Instant Insanity Bowling

Was approached to do some logo concepts for a bowling team of older gentlemen who also have a love of antique hot rods. Decided to pull in some Ed Roth inspiration for a crazed bowling ball, and then paired it with a great retro funky serif font (Beale by Hoodzpah).

I wanted to create something that looked like it could have come out of the late 60's or early 70's, the heyday of both fast cars and bowling alleys, and I think this passes the vibe check. I don't do a whole lot of illustration in my day-to-day, so it's fun to dust off the ol' pencils and doodle every now and then.
