Personal Branding
🏛During the Roman persecution of Christians, the anchor served as a secret form of communication.
Believers would wear jewelry with anchor motifs, place anchors in front of their homes, and even tattoo the symbol on themselves. This allowed them to identify fellow adherents while escaping the watchful eye of the Romans.
⚓ Early Christians chose it because it resembles a cross, but also because it holds a ship in place, denoting strength and security.
To me, the anchor is a powerful representation of resilience and overcoming adversity. It symbolizes composure, steadfastness, and hope.
