Vintage Wedding Invitation

Wedding invitation created for my friends, Isidora & Nemanja! 👰🏻🤵🏻

It’s a very elaborate and deeply symbolic piece. Here’s the breakdown:

🔥 At the bottom, you see the Phoenix, a symbol of love and eternity, rising from flames. The borders feature thorns - symbols of devotion, and white roses - symbols of purity.

The two shields with the sun and moon portray the male and female principles of the universe ☾☼

🍀 They’re covered in diagonal lines, which represent the color green - a symbol for luck & health - in the heraldic hatching system.

Behind the shields are bay leaves, an ancient symbol of victory and glory. They’re hanging from torches, a representation of knowledge, truth, enlightenment, and zeal.

🕊 Above them are two doves holding the Bowen Knot, a symbol of eternal love.
