Motion exploration of Telescope Illustration
My first illustration of a telescope
I created my first telescope illustration using Adobe Illustrator and the pen tool. It was a challenging but rewarding experience, as I was able to bring my vision to life and showcase my creativity in a digital format.
Adding little animation to the illustration
Once I had created the basic illustration, I decided to take it a step further and add animation. I wanted to create a little motion gif, which gives the audience the ability to see the telescope from different angles and perspectives.
But there was a mistake…
A friend pointed out to me, that the shadow is changing but the position of the telescope is constant.
It gave me a new idea...
And then, I thought of how the telescope would look like at different times of the day. I started browsing through the web for images of different landscapes and skies that I could use to create an animation.
Throughout the animation, I experimented with different movements to create a seamless transition from one scene to the next. For example, to convey the passage of time, I incorporated subtle changes in lighting and shadows.
What did I do?
I started with creating a basic illustration of a telescope using Adobe Illustrator and later I rendered it into an animation.
