motoki
"motoki" - a collective of people doing educational and cultural work, based in their own small cultural center in the middle of Cologne. They were looking for a logo and a color concept that could convey the ideas, goals and values of this colorful group to the outside world. There was only one thing it should not be: a corporate design. And as it comes with being part of a collective, the new design line was not simply commissioned and then picked up. Instead, basic principles, drafts and variants were to be worked out and discussed so that a mutually agreeable solution could be found . This was a good fit, because for me, designing means first and foremost listening, asking questions, designing, and then making things comprehensible (before it's back to listening again, and so on)..
