Planet NFT Case Study

FIRSTS...

As a student in Dribble's Intro to UI Design Course please tag along as I experience many "firsts" in the world of UI, Design Theory, Figma and more. I learned that on my Mac Command Z was my favorite key.

BRIEF

Our class was given a brief for a client called Moon. They are a new up and coming startup with the goal of revolutionizing the NFT marketplace business with a design-first approach and deeply curated experience for the user.

TASK

Establish visual language of this new NFT marketplace app this is ready shake up the digital art scene. Lock a visual aesthetic and then scale the design on multiple screens based on wireframe and the flow that is provided from the client. Build a UI Library of the final UI.

ACTION

Created Moodboard

Designed Two Visual Explorations

Designed Five Hi-Fidelity UI Screens

Developed UI Design Library

Moodboards

I researched both classic/impressionism and pop art for my two mood boards. For the first moodboard I focused on the traditional colors found in famous impressionism and drew inspiration from how NFT artist are returning to the classics and "recreating" them into digital art. Pop art and bright colors were my focus in my second moodboard. From my research into the current NFT market many pieces contain highly saturated neon colors.

Visual Explorations

From my moodboards I pulled together a Home Screen and Splash Screen for each concept.

High Fidelity UI Screens

After deciding to move forward with the more classic impressionistic elements from my visual explorations. I expanded the collection of UI Screens.

UI Design Library

While designing the various High Fidelity concepts I solidified the typography, color and icons used in the app into a UI Design Library.
