UI course - NFT app design
This app was created as part of the Dribbble UI Design for educational purposes. I do not own any of the art that is sampled. Some artwork used in the designs was borrowed from real marketplaces.
The Brief
The client, Moon, was looking to create an NFT app. They wanted to lock in a strong visual language to represent how they would revolutionise the digital art scene.
The app is aimed at tech savvy people who know their way around the digital world and want to discover more about art and NFT’s
The Outcome
We needed to create five main app screens, in design and functionality. With functionality in mind required constant reevaluation of the design.
Moodboards
Researching into the NFT market I was drawn to it’s usual dark interface.Route 1 explored the use of gradients and low opacity blurs. Route 2 was a sharper approach. Using flat, bright colours that experimented with shapes.
Wireframes
We were to design wireframes for five screens within the app.
Visual Exploration
As an NFT marketplace ready to ‘revolutionise’ the digital art scene I chose Route 2. Route 2 is usual, pushes rules of app design, yet is simple and consistent in design. This flat colour approach was something not as common in the NFT world, which brought opportunity.
Lock & Scale Design
Experimenting with elements of route 1 and 2 I liked, I adapted them to fit the aesthetic I was going for.
UI Library
The app uses bold, muted colours. Alongside exciting, slightly daring type.
