Asthma Monitoring - Smart Watch

Day 1: Design Thinking.

Assignment: Use design thinking to invent something new.

The thinking started from wireless tv (cause the cables are annoying) to gesture control curtains ( I mean, why not?) to blink reminder to Wall dry erasable marker (leave no trace) and finally to the Asthma monitoring wearable device.

I have wheezing trouble all my 2 decades of life, and as a kid, I have always wished my mom would be there when I am having struggle breathing. Luckily we have many devices to monitor breathing struggles like peak flow meter, sensor inhaler now a days.

Still, a wearable device that could monitor the pulse, oxygen & also detect the wheezing and coughing sound is something I could only wish for. Especially for kids. If it could also detect dust level, I am sold.

This is the small idea that came to my mind, in this one hour design thinking challenge. No where near perfect, but a start. While designing I wanted to keep accessibility in mind, hope it's somewhere there.

Just took up the amazing 100 days Challenge, and this one is quite unusual. I recommend designers to take up this challenge by Imprint.li team.
