My Urban Sky

My Urban Sky poster with multiple sky images

2010 Urbancanvas design competition entry

"My Urban Sky" was inspired by a road trip from Michigan to Virginia. Various images of the sky were pieced together in a grid to form one large sky. The scalable composition was created to live on construction fences, sidewalk sheds, supported scaffolds, and cocoons in New York City. “My Urban Sky” was one of four chosen winners from 133 entries (National). Installed at City University of New York - Hunter College School of Social Work in East Harlem, and on two blocks of construction fence in the South Street Seaport.
