Web Site Refactor

Working out the design for a video based Web site. One option is to host free tutorials on a YouTube channel and embed them in a Tumblr blog.

In the header could be an option to signup for a free mini-course that would be delivered via email. Once visitors are done with the free course, offer them a discount for signing up for a paid course.

Even though the mockup has my home page, I would probably put this under another domain that is more keyword friendly.

I read somewhere that if you take out the First Name field and just ask for a users email that your signup numbers will improve.

One concern is that a site that is mostly just a static page with an embedded video might not be SEO friendly. Perhaps including the show notes from each video would help.
