Tectonicus - Cards
I recently developed proposed branding for Tectonicus a card-based
auto-battler game created by Gameucatex.
In Tectonicus you take on the role of a leader of a civilisation and develop it while battling in a card-based format. The game features characters and creatures based on myths as well as important figures from history with the goal of educating players about history and mythology. Additionally the game covers a wide range of periods from the earliest civilisations to modern times and each player is guided by a deity from one of the myths and civilisations in the game.

I wanted the look and feel of the cards for the game to be modern and clean while still maintaining a sense of historic charm. Additionally I wanted them to be modular (frame, illustration, card info) so that if a new civilisation was released as a expansion set in the future the existing design could be adjusted without affecting the actual card information. This would enable players to quickly understand the new content and be able to differentiate between different civilisations.
