Aliesha Mandy

A logo I wrapped up today. For this shot I thought I'd show the two staged process that I enjoy equally. Most of you will already be well familiar with this info but for those that are interested...

1. Getting grubby with the brush pens and writing the name over and over and over and over and over, until I'm finally happy with either a single execution or a collection of letters I can bring together and choose the best parts for vectoring.

2. The vector stage where I spend stacks of time refining those paths until I feel like I have achieved silky smooth curves. I try and keep all my anchor points consistent to the most Northern, Southern, Eastern & Western coordinates to a path shape and try and keep my nodes constrained vertically and horizontally and as equally as I can. I call this "node appreciation". As you can see though, you don't have to be completely governed by them, but they do help keep things tidy and manageable.

Larger images attached of both the process pics.
