ROLL CALL - Remember your students

Roll Call is a case study based on a Google interview prompt, presented as follows:

At the beginning of each new semester or school year, teachers are faced with the challenge of remembering names for a large number of new students.

Design an experience to help an educator match faces to names, with the goal of shortening the time needed to reach complete un-aided accuracy.

Considering how varied an educator's schedule and total workload can be, the chosen approach was to conceptualize a mobile app, that can be easily accessed through the educator's personal device - ensuring it is always on hand, and also easy to keep secure, only accessible through a PIN, faceID, or fingerprint set by the own user.

The app gives several options of information input in both classes directory and student directory - and it is not necessary that all classes and all students have the same information attached to their profiles. Some students may have pictures, some may not, some may have written notes written by the educator, some may not. Most of the fields in the student profile creation tab are fully optional, and can be filled out according to what the educator finds most useful.

Quizzes with over 20 types of questions can also be found in the app, as an exercise to improve the memory and encourage constant practice to better achieve the goal of creating associations between students faces and their names and work, depending on what the educator considers their preferred method of study.
