Fonts.com Hero
Hey there everyone,
some weeks ago I got asked to contribute a typographic piece to the awesome series of Fonts.com hero images. You can imagine how honored I have felt at that moment and how honored I feel today that the piece I have been working on will be published next month.
After trying some different things I finally decided to make something like an infographic sheet to pay homage to the W50 Truck, which was and still is one of my wheeled childhood "heros". My first word ever was "Auto" and maybe this truck has been one of the reasons for that...
But there is even more to the story behind this piece, and so I'm gonna publish a blog post about the whole project after the hero went live - and there I will also show some stylistic variations of the final artwork.... But for now I want to share those "sneaks" with you.
One of the biggest reasons for me to go for such an infographic piece is the font I've chosen. It's Berling Nova Sans, and it's character perfectly suits the all over feel I had in mind for my contribution to www.fonts.com. I also used it to build a fictional logo for the whole project. ;)
If you want to take a closer look at the font here's the place to go.
And - if you want to dig deeper into the awesome hero images, here's the hero image archive. Seeing all the work of so many great designers in one place hopefully get's you an idea why I feel honored to have the chance to dwell among them from next month on.
Thank you very much for your time and attention, have a great day and weekend.
