Optimus Community | Design direction and Web App Design
Optimus is a community for investors aimed on crowdfunding independent digital projects.
My role was to develop brand identity and create visual content for Optimus; as well as to design product web app.
I worked directly with product team to achieve a coherent brand design vision.
I was responsible for conducting design processes from presenting strategy
to delivering final design assets.
My other task was to design web app interface for both external and internal user, as well as to develop a design system for product interface.
I also helped to design promotional landing pages and social media content; and been supporting with a series of collaterals including ebooks, guidelines, investor decks, and more.
The metaphor
My task was to highlight the following key points:
- futuristic, hi-tech, space mood;
- a daring, courageous brand image;
- a community-based product.
As Optimus Community is about crowdfunding and supporting independent projects on their early stage, the brand logo was designed to reflect its purpose:
Visual design
Bright, energetic colors were chosen to speak optimism and courage.
Bold, distinct typography style of choice is to bring up confident, energetic feel.
Web app design and user experience
My goal was to build a human-centered, moderately gamified product experience. During our collaboration, I came up with numerous improvements for the crucial user experience points and significantly contributed in communication between the app and its user.
My task also included building product app interface for both customer and admin end; as well as establishing a design system and UI guidelines.
Website design
My job included building websites and promotional landing pages for Optimus, from presenting concepts to delivering designs in motion and interactive prototypes.
