TOO BAD!

This is some of my favorite artwork to date. Working with someone as talented as Amanda, I have to make sure the artwork is up to snuff with her songwriting and vocal performance.

This song was one of the rare instances where I knew right from the jump exactly what type of direction I wanted to take the design of this cover. My initial thought was to do a gold chain with the words “Too Bad” around someone’s neck, but quickly shifted toward a more iridescent, glass look.

I think the way the artwork turned out matches the vibe of the song properly. There’s kind of this Olivia Rodrigo Sour influence to the whole piece which I enjoy. I love how the colors really shine bright in this one and Amanda being such a talented, sweet person, the art and song give off this “Well, sucks for you because you didn’t know what you had until it was gone” sort of vibe.

I also created these little .pngs for my talented friend Alex to create into a Spotify canvas!
