Daily Logo Challenge #05 - Autonomous Car

Making a logo for an autonomous car startup was sort of scuffed from the start. I mean, you could try and do something that emphasizes the self driving capabilities, but I don't think that's the correct way to approach this problem, because it's just a feature. In the end, the company is making cars and will be pitted against other brands that make cars (some of them autonomous, as well).

With this in mind, I ditched the idea of doing something that screams "self driving" and focused on creating a clean and functional logo for a car manufacturer. The biggest focus was to make something that evokes mobility, speed and works as a badge that you can use on the hood of a car.

I settled on this simple diamond shape and had some fun with the new 3D tools in Adobe Illustrator to imagine how it would look as an actual badge.
